The Head Master decided that lectures should be held weekly in the Michaelmas and on some weeks in the Lent half. A committee of masters, with the Captains of the School and of the Oppidans, was set up to arrange them and report on their success. Many were described in the Chronicle and some of the entries in this book are the Chronicle article pasted in.
