The Holding House was created to hold boys who had been given a place but for whom there was temporarily no space in their chosen house. They rarely stayed more than one or two halves, and the house was closed on the outbreak of WW2.
It was in Gulliver's, and during the period of these records the house masters were the Rev. L.B.T. Chaffey (1919.3-1934.1) and H.G.C. Streatfield (1934.2-1939.2). From 1907-1919, it was W.D. Eggar.
