Letters to Margaret Isabel Frances Meade (Meade-Fetherstonhaugh after 1931). Richard Meade, 1913 - 1958, was in Lyttelton's house 1927.3 - 1931.2 and to begin with these are formal letters from a house master to a parent about her son , although by the end of his first year addressed to `Dear Meg' rather than Mrs. Meade. Although this element remains, they soon become letters from a friend and the correspondence was maintained after Richard left Eton. Insights into a house master's duties and obligations, and staffing difficulties , are mixed with personal and family news.
