Content description
The volume is a register of Hawtrey's pupils and records name, age, date of birth, date of entering and sometimes of leaving Lower School, and where the boy boarded. From 1847 on an increasing number boarded with Hawtrey, and from 1852 an increasing number of details of parent or guardian are recorded. From 1853 the boys signed the book themselves. Bound in at the rear is a record of applicants for places from 1855-1869, continuing with 1869 applications for the school at Slough.
