Content description
These papers are a representative sample of the paperwork accumulated by a master, especially in his capacity as tutor. They include examples of "leavers", photographs of themselves given by boys on their departure, which show clearly the changing nature of the genre over the years, and a file of reports, often detailed, on various aspects of Eton life. These vary from minutiae such as the organisation of the History Pound to important reviews of drama or religious education, and have often not been preserved elsewhere. There are also papers on Bekynton, the Masters' Common Room, of whose committee Winter was an active member.
