Content description
The Eton College Chronicle is the main school magazine, written by the boys. The first edition appeared in 1863 and it continues to the present day. It contains editorials, reports on the societies, sports events, correspondence, community news and major national events. When Masters left, a "Vale" appears. From 1901 until 1971 the Chronicle also contained a full list of boys in the school. Weekly until 1973, in September 1973 it moved to fortnightly, and the format changed to a more informal one, with more images and opinion pieces. It is now produced approximately 8 times a year.
Existence and location of copies
