This Committee was set up in Michaelmas 1922 to control the Gymnasium, with a member of staff as President, the Captain of the School, Captain of the Oppidans and Captain of the Boats as ex officio members and two or three other boys whom they co-opted. The principle sports concerned were boxing and fencing, and the book gradually changes from being a minute book to being a record of these two sports, especially fencing. By 1935 there were separate books for them, kept by the respective keepers, and the committee had disappeared. The book therefore was no longer used.
