Content description
Applications from students applying for grants to fund their travel expenses. Applications are for both personal trips and trips which are organised by the school. Each form includes the boy’s name and house, his proposed reason and project for travelling, how much it will cost and how much they wish to apply for concerning the grant. Also includes an endorsement by the boy’s house master. In the proposed reason for the grant the boys state various different intentions.
Most of the boys applied for funding for different trips, whilst some boys would apply for funding for trips organised for groups. A few examples of what boys applied for funding for include; School trips to Russia, Classical Greece and Southern Spain, to gain work experience such as in a hospital in New York or a school in New Zealand, to visit areas of historic significance such as Florence and Southern France, to join the Dorset Expeditionary Societies expedition to Ecuador, and canoeing the great lakes of Canada.
