Content description
Travel reports done by the boys who had been allocated money as grants from the college to fund trips abroad. The reports detail what they did during their trip and how the money was useful. Many of the boys are grateful for the grant and express how if other boys wish to carry out trips such as theirs then they wholly recommend they get given the grant. Some of the reports are extensive and go into a lot of detail whilst others simply hit the word count of 400 words. Various places were visited by the boys and for various reasons, such as; travelling around Europe by rail, visiting Tunisia to see the sites relating to French colonialism, a French language course in Amboise, visiting Portugal to paint the scenery, and a trip to Athens to see the Acropolis and other sites relevant to the time period being studied at school. There is also a letter stating that the boy could not use the grant this year due to a clashing of plans but asking if it would be possible to use it for the same project next year.
