Letter (in English) from John Culver, John Howse, John Bauty, John Reynold and John Pynchar (struck through) to Master Jon', Clerk of the King's Works and our master Thomas Heynes, asking to be discharged from rent `a newst the yeve... We have not for to contente him at thys tyme but apon yowr supportacion'.
Rents totalling 52s against petitioners' names. Note in lighter ink and probably in different hand of payments totalling £4 to the petitioners and to Thomas Braves. Three petitioners named in COLL/BA/53.
Endorsed: Thes lett[ers]to be delyvred unto Mast' Jon [etc, as cited above], also notes of four payments, two crossed through.
