Typed letter regarding Eton College and Chalcot Estate, from M.C. Tait and George K. Hert to Hallowes and Carter. Tait and Hert have received Hallowes and Carter's letter of the 2nd addressed to the Secretary. It would be difficult for the company to prohibit advertisements on the wall except by some kind of public notice, and Tait and Hert are suggesting to the general manager that his representative should see Mr Steward and arrange with him what kind of effective public notice could be put on the wall which would be unobjectionable from the point of view of the college authorities. The company are grateful to the college for their not objecting to the patriotic breaches of the provisions of the act.
