Describes journey to Chepstow, visit by boat to Tintern Abbey (Gilpin's print far from accurate), visit to Piercefield and Raglan Castle. Meets several Etonians including Sir George Cornewall (formerly Amyand) and his sons; describes beauties of road from Monmouth to Ross. Races at Hereford, so hard to find a bed; locked in the cloisters after viewing the cathedral by moonlight but let out by two Vicars Choral. Few halfpence obtained. PLACE: Hereford
