He and Harriet will accompany the girls to the Ansells in Downing Street. Account of journey to Plymouth; about to visit Dr Drury at Cockwood. Visit to grounds of Mount Edgcumbe. Colonel Bastard (father of former pupil) arranged for a boat and they visited the Cambridge 'on board of which including women there were considerably more than 1000 persons', and sailed up the river seeing several prize ships. Visit to Dock; to Colonel Bastard's seat Kedley and dinner; further sightseeing and travel.
