The Queen will not begin her residence until 21st though she takes possession tomorrow to select her apartments. Has been sent a memoir of [King William] by his widow. Wise has announced death of Duchess of St Alban's and of Monsell the Military Knight. Duchess provided private boxes for opera and theatre. Election as full as fatiguing; mass of visitors. Tyranny and perfidy of victorious candidate at Windsor. Annotated 1838.
