Unable to come to Eton on Election Saturday because his constituents had asked him to preside at 'a large agricultural Meeting and Dinner'. If the plan has Goodford's approval he will give it his support but can only subscribe in proportion to his means. Thanks Mr and Mrs Goodford for their kindness to the late Captain of the Oppidans.
