Thinks it was clear from his letter that he wished the experiment tried and the remaining match only abolished in the case of misconduct. Regrets that Goodford's powers of change are not as great as his. Does not know how far it would be possible to exclude Collegers from the match. It has had the effect of keeping up a public school feeling.
