Fully understands reasons that led him to forbid Etonians in statu pupillari to play in the matches at Lord's, where boys had no relations to look after them in London, but cannot imagine there could be an objection where boys have relations residing there. Very anxious for his son to play against Harrow. Would be sorry if custom of friendly matches was not kept up.
