Has heard the match at Lord's was not to take place because Dr Goodford believed that the fathers of the boys did not wish them to play in London. Assures him he is most anxious that his son should play at Lord's. Has talked to many gentlemen with sons at Eton who all think it would be a great blow if the match was discontinued. Should be left to the parents' discretion whether their sons should play in the holidays. Draft of reply on back
