Content description
Grant by Roger de Valtort for the souls of his father Rainald, himself and his wife Emma, and all his ancestors, of the church of St Stephen's, Saltash with its appurtenances, which lies near to his castle of Trematon, to the priory of Modbury and the abbey of St Pierre-sur-Dives. With a tenth of the wheat within his lands. Confirmation of grants which his uncle Radulf and his father Rainald made to the priory of Modbury regarding the church of Modbury. Witnesses: Humphrey de Sicca Villa, Robert, Dean of St Just, Hugh, Dean of Maker, Durand the priest, William, son of the smith, Durand of Hermovilla, Hugh de Orcherton, Swelf the tailor, William son of Emiline, John son of Roger and others.
