Indenture of the grant by Philip de Furnar, Prior of the parish Church of Modbyr' [Modbury], to William Pral of the wardship of all that land Bythecomb' which fell to him by the death of John Piers, late rector of Dydesham [Dittisham], by reason of the minority of Isabel, daughter of Walter Knyth Bythe Comb', cousin and heir of the said John. To hold during the minority of Isabel for the same rents and services as were paid by the said John. Witnesses: John Chambernoun, William Fortescu, Thomas Boys, Richard Somayster, Edmund de Baucombe and others. Given at Modbyr', Friday, the Feast of St Martin the Bishop, 36 Edward III. Thomas de Asseton and Andrew de Ferrers were also called in witness.
