Letters of John Rogier, Prior of the Priory of Tywardrayt of the order of St. Benedict, Exeter dioecese. Hearing that the Abb
ot and Convent of the monastery of the Blessed Mary de Spineto of St.Peter supra Divam, Seez diocese, are seeking someone suitable to appoint to the Priory of Montibery, amd that Adam de Pratellis, their priest and fellow monk, would be acceptable and willing, the said Prior consents to the transference and releases Adam from obedience to himself and the said Priory. Given 11 Mark 1421-2.
Seal. of the Priory, single pointed oval, 65.mm. green wax, pendent on doubled tag, slightly danaged at sides. Beneath a gothic canopy, St. Andrew, with nimbus, carrying a saltire. Beneath, a figure in a round arch between round windows.
