Modbury, Devon: Bond by John Wakeham

Bond by John Wakeham, of Modbury, yeman, Edward Hert, of the same, yeman, William Maryge, of the same, husbondman, and John Wakeham, of Colrige, Co. Devon, hosbondman, to pay Roger Lupton, Provost, and the College, one hundred pounds at Easter next.
The condition of the bond is that if John Wakeham of Modbury perfroms every article contained in a pair of indentures made between himself and the Provost of the date of this present, then the bond shall be void.
Seals:- Four seals, round, red was, eachabout 10.mm. pendent on two tongues, two on each.
(1) A cross between palm branches.
(2) A annulet crowned.
(3) (a bad impression.)
(4) A circle divided by three ribbed diameters into six equal parts.
