Modbury, Devon: Bond by John Wakam

Bond by John Wakam, of Modburye, Co. Devon, yeoman, Roger Debyn, of Nottermyll in the parish of St. Stephan, Co. Cornwall, husbanman, and William Wollesdon, of Pyllyton, Co. Cornwall, miller, to pay master Roger Lupton, provost of Eton, twenty pounds at the Ascension next.
The condition of the bond is that if the said John, Roger and William abide by the award of Sir Peerse Egecombe, Knight, and master Thomas Sothern, surveyor of my lord of Exeter's lands, for the right of a tenement and lands of the College of Eton in Notter, to be made and delivered to the parties in writing by easter next, the the bond shall be void.
Seal. Tongue for seals has een broken off.
