Modbury, Devon: Bond by John Wakeham

Bond by John Wakeham, of Modbury, yoman, John Frynd, of London, foldsmyth, Andrew Frynd, of Modbury, frankleyn, and John Fyder, of the same, yoman, to pay to master Roger Lupton, provost of Eton, one hundred pounds at Michaelmas next.
The condition of the bond is that if the said Wakeham shall observe the conditions specified in a pair of indentures made between him and the said provost, of this date, then the bond shall be void.
Seals. Four tongues, three of them bearing seals, round, red wax.
(1) 13.mm. On the tongue "per me Johannem Wakeham".
(2) 20.mm. partly broken. A device. "per me Andro Frend".
(3) 13.mm. A sheaf and ear of corn(?). "per me Johannem Frende".
