Order by Edmund, Bishop of Exeter, to the Archdeacon of Totnes or his official, to inquire concerning the Priory of Modbury, vacant by the resignation of Adam de Pratellis alias de Pryaux, and to which Hugh Champernoun, lord of Modbury, has presented William Beuselyn, monk of the Abbey of St, Peter supra Divam, dicoses of Seez, Normandy, nominated by the said Hugh by force of an agreement made between the Abbot and convent and the predecessors of the said Hugh, who presented last time, whose turn it is to present and whether the candidate is suitable, If he is, to admit and institute him. Given at his house in London.
