Modbury, Devon: Letters Patent of Henry VI

Letters Patent of Henry VI to all admirals, captains, customs officers, wardens of ports, sheriffs, mayors, bailiffs etc, instructing them to allow William, Prior of Modbury, to export an alabaster "tabula", bought in England, from the port of Poole to the Abbey of St Peter super Dyve, the due tolls having been paid. Teste me ipso, Westminster.
The Great Seal, natural colour, on tongue, (Wyon, plate XIII. 79, 80.) The Silver Seal. A portion of the top half only survives, including the central and left hand arch of the canopy, the figure of the King to the waist and the shield on the left.
Counterseal: the figure of the King, the right arm cut off at the elbow, the horse's back and head.
