Piddlehinton, Dorset: Bond in £20

Bond by Edmund Baker of Puddle Mill in the parish of Knoyle [Church Knoll] in the Isle of Purbeck, co. Dorset, miller, to pay John Cotton of Charlton Marshall, taylor, £20. The condition of the bond is that if the said John Cotton shall peaceably enjoy the tenement called Whites in Charleton Marshall, part of the manor there, now in the tenure of Thomas Hobbes, husbandman, without let during the life of the said Edmund Baker or of his relict should he leave such, then the bond shall be void.
