Institution by John, bishop of Bath and Wells, of Walter Strotinger, bachelor of civil law, to the church of Wotton Courtenay [Wootton Courtney], vacant by the death of Hugh Forde, the last rector; upon the presentation of the archbishop of Canterbury and others (named), feoffees of the alien priories, given at London.
Seal of the bishop, red wax, oval, 80 mm, on tongue. Only the central part survives. Three apostles, beneath Gothic canopies; above, the Virgin and Child, on each side of whom is a cleric, beneath canopies; below, in a rounded arch the bishop, on each side of whom is an armorial shield, left three St Andrew's crosses, right chevron.
