The manor of Bledlow was granted to Eton, with other alien priory lands, by Henry VI in the patent dated 25 March 1441.
It had belonged to the Abbey of Bec Herlouin in Normandy. There was no priory at Bledlow but a manor of which the Prior of Ogbourne was lord. The Abbey of Bec obtained possession of this manor in 1198 from Hugh de Gournay in exchange for certain rents in Gournay and elsewere in Normandy [ECR 07 02].
