Bledlow, Buckinghamshire: Indenture of lease of manor

Indenture of lease by brother Richard de Besevall, Prior of Okebourne [Ogbourne], and proctor general in England of the Abbey of Bec Herlowyn [Bec Herlouin], to James Frisel, of Bledelawe, of the manor of Bledelowe [Bledlow] with all its appurtenances, excepting woods and a moiety of the profits of the court, but including housebote and heybote, and portions of the tithes of the demesne lands of Robert Mallet in Dillingdon [Denham in Quainton], of Eleanor de Curteney in Wodeston [Waddesdon] and Estthrop [Eythrope], and of the Prior of Burncestre [Bicester] in Westcot; and £4 rent from the Abbot of Musseden [Missenden]. To hold for seven years from the feast of St Mark the Evangelist 1326. Yearly rent £60. The said brother Richard has delivered to the said James four horses (equos) worth 2 marks, four farm horses (affros) worth 20s and fourteen oxen each worth 1 mark, to be restored, with the manor, at the end of the lease.
