Will of Hugo Clauerynge [Clavering] of Etone [Eton], who desires to be buried in St Mary's churchyard at Eton, leaves 8lb of wax for his candle [luminare meum], to the poor et. on the day of his burial 3 marcs, on the 30th day after 10s, on his anniversary 6s 8d to Nich. Chesewyk of New Windsor and Agnes his wife, in tail, testator's tenement and cottage in Eton, to wit the tenement lying between a tenement late of Laur. de Bakschete and a tenement late of Nich. le Forester and extending from the Thames to the King's way which leads from Boueneye [Boveney] to Windsor, the cottage lying between a tenement late of John. ate Wyke and a tenement of Joh. Gerdan and extending from a tenement late of Will. de Etone to the King's way aforesaid, to a chaplain to celebrate for him in Eton church for a year 5 marcs, to the chaplain of the parish for the time being 12d to the clericus beneficiarius of the same church 4d to the fabric or use of the church 2s, to each of his godchildren [pueris meis de sacro fonte levatis] 2d, to son of his sister 1 bushel of barley, to Agnes de Berham ½ quarter of barley, to Joh., son of his brother, his best suit [melius verstitum], to Ric. ate Grane his second best suit, to Helde 1 bushel of barley, to Joh. fil. Johannis de Medeforde one ewe [ouis matrix], to the fabric of the bridge [operi burg. pontis] called le Blakechete 6d to Joh. Herte 2s, to Nich. le Forester 2s, residue to Matildis his wife: executors said Matildis and Joh. Herte. Witnesses: Tho. de Holte, persona ecclesie de Etone, Will. ate Wyk, Ric. de Stok., Laur.
