Bond by Charles Ripon of Eton, co. Bucks, esquire, John Burnet of New Windsor, in the parish of Clewer, yeoman of the crown, of the King's household, John Borastone of Eton, yeoman, and William Smyth of Maydenhith [Maidenhead] co. Berks, yeoman, to Henry Bost, clerk, provost, and the college of our lady St Mary of Eton, in £40. Voidance if the said Charles obtain and cause the king to assign a bill of a weir in Thames called Horne were, to be registered to the use of the college before Lady day next; or failing that if John Vernam, clerk, John Borastone aforesaid, Rowland Forster and James Stokdale, joint feoffees with said Henry Bost, of lands etc. of said Charles shall repay from the issues thereof £20 which said Charles had for the weir. 6 March, 4 Henry VII.
