Windsor, Berkshire: Grant of messuage

Grant by John Hille, chaplain, Thomas Prophet, of New Windsor, and John Dawe, of New Windsor, to Isabel, daughter of John Towe, of Windsor, of a messuage, sometime of John Forthebowe, situated in New Windsor in the parish of Clyfware between the messuage sometime of Thomas Holbode and the messuage of William Arnays. And grant of 2 acres of arable land lying separately in Underore in the fee of the abbot of Redynge, of which 3 half acres lie together between the land of John Bullok, senior, on the south, and the land, late of William Coupere, on the north, and ½ acre lies in le Butme between the land of Thomas Pomfreyt on the west and the land late of Geoffrey Mathew on the east. The grantors had the premises of the gift of the said John Towe. To be held by the said Isabel and the heirs of her body, with remainder to William Towe, her brother, and his heirs.
Witnesses: Robert Bolley, John Shrovesbury, John Bailly, Richard Ponfreyt, Thomas Mogynhod, and many other. Given at Windsor Sunday after the feast of the conversion of St Paul 4 Henry VI. Proviso, that Alice, mother of Isabel, shall have the 2 acres of land for her life.
