Quitclaim by Simon Lorymer, citizen and writer of court hand, of the city of London, to John Godfrey, citizen and baker of London, of all his rights in lands which they had been granted together by Roger Malmesbury, late master of the Hospital of St James by Westminster and the brothers and sisters thereof by indenture of 15 November 1473, viz. a parcel of land with certain old buildings thereon lying in the parish of St Sepulchre without Newgate between the beer house called le Lambe sometime of Thomas Witton, hostiller, and now belonging to the church of St Sepulchre on the south and Cokkeslane [Cock Lane] on the north and extending in length along Cokkeslane 33¾ ells and 3 inches and in length on the south 28 ells 4 inches and in length in the middle 39¾ ells, and another piece of land annexed to the said parcel with an old house built thereon lying between the said tenement sometime of Thomas Witton and the said parcel, to hold for 99 years for a rent of 3s 4d.
