London and the suburbs: Indenture of agreement over rent

Indenture of agreement, London, between Henry Buskre of Malines, and John de Suthmimmes, citizen and chandler of London, who holds for life six shops in the parish of St Lawrence Jewry from which the lady Margery de Basinges, wife of Sir Robert de Basinges, granted the yearly rent of 8 marks to Henry Buskre with the reversion of the shops, by which the said John undertakes to pay the said rent and to keep the premises in repair, with penalty of distraint and expulsion.
Witnesses: John de Waugrave, mayor of London, and alderman of that ward, Ralph le Balaunt and William de Causton, sheriffs, Jordan de Langele, Ralph Pycot, Adam de Horsham, John Marchaunt, William le Batour, Ralph de Braughingges, John Potyn, John atte Bernette, Walter le Bedel and others.
