Counterpart of indenture of lease, upon surrender of a lease to Henry Lathwell, Ann, his wife, and Elizabeth Young, by the Provost and College to John Waring of the parish of St Botolph without Bishop's gate, clerk, of four messuages in King's Street Westminster, one of which was formerly known by the name of the Queen's Arms, late the Crown Tavern and since Brown's coffee house, late in the tenure of George Brown and now or late in the tenure of Richard Arnold, skinner, another being now or late in the tenure of James Tysoe, pewterer, the third late in the tenure of John England, brewer, since of Samuel Aland, brewer, and now or late of Mr Edge, brewer, and the fourth now or late in the tenure of Pierce Hill, turner, all adjoining one another and abutting on a messuage called the Swan Tavern on the north and a tenement called the Green Tree on the south, both of which belong to the Abbey of Westminster. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent £10.
