Indenture of lease, by Roger Lupton, Provost of Eton and master of St James in the Fields beside Westminster, and the College, to Agnes Caundysshe, widow, of four houses and tenements with all shops cellars and warehouses in the parishes of St Mary Magdalene in Milkestrete [Milk Street] and Allhalowen [All Hallows] in Bredstrete [Bread Street] in the city of London, that is to say both the houses called the Whyte Beare [White Bear] and the Whyte Harte [White Hart] lately in the tenure of Thomas Caundysshe "and all that theire parte of the howse or grownde which is devyded betwexe theym and one Thomas Denye lately deceassed in the whiche Thomas Person chaundeler late dwellyd" and the house where John Floude lately dwelt. To hold from Lady Day last for 30 years. Rent £13 6s 8d. The lessee to build a new house according to a "platt" delivered by her to William Collyns, carpenter.
