Copies from the bishop's register at Winchester. (1) Agreement between Thomas de Bere, chaplain, presented to the vicarage of Elingeham [Ellingham], upon the death of dominus Robert de Suthantone, by brother William Cancelot, prior of Elingeham, and dominus Symon de Barotis, presented to the same by the abbot of St Sauveur, to submit themselves to the decision of master Philip de Bartona, the bishop's vicar, as to which of them is to be admitted to the vicarage. Winchester 19 July 1298.
