Stratfield Saye, Hampshire: Indenture of lease of land

Indenture of lease by brother Richard de Tenvile, keeper (custos) of the hermitage of St Leonard of Stratfield Saye, with the consent of the abbot and convent of Walemont [St Mary Vallemont], to Nicholas Loc and William Swrd, for a certain sum of money, of three pieces of arable in Stratfeld Say, of which one lies in the field which is called Goseflod between the land of Edward le King on one side and the land of Nicholas le Aldrene on the other, and one is a certain fork (forca) lying in Hyniggeswod next the hedge, and the third lies in the field which is called le Burfield between the land of the lord on one side and the land of John de Scaldeford on the other. To hold for their lives, rent 18d, and suit of court.
