Ratification by William de Harpendene, senior, of certain charters by which his ancestor Robert de Harpenden granted to the Blessed Mary of St Leonard on the Loddon in Stretfelde Stotevile [Stratfield Saye], for a chantry there for himself and Alice his wife and their ancestors and successors, an annual pension of 5 marks from the parish church there, and a certain William le Hore, a serf, and all his following with all the land he held from him in the vill of Harpendene. Quitclaim by William de Harpendene of all right in the said land that had been William le Hore's.
Witnesses: Sir Philip de Engulfeld, Sir Gilbert Ellesfeld, knights, John de Alveton, Benedict Engleis, Robert Padenhale and others. Harpendene.
Seal, round, 20mm, dark green wax, on doubled tag.
Armorial: a mullet of six points, pierced.
