Stratfield Saye, Hampshire: Bargain and sale of woods

Indenture of bargain and sale, by the Provost and the College to Sir Richard Harryson, of Hurst, co. Berks, knight, of all the woods on the priory lands, now in his occupation, except for the trees on the mill heise and the chapple heyse, and 120 trees on the premises which are marked. From Lady Day last for 20 years. The lessee to leave at the end of the term 200 young oaks for timber towards the supply of cart boot plowe boot paleboote and the building of the farm house of the priory, which has been leased to the said Sir Richard on 22 December 1607.
Twelve standers to be left, at every felling, to be marked by the lessors, at the coppice. Yearly rent £3 6s 8d.

Seal, oval, 15mm, red wax, on doubled tag. Armorial: in chief 3 eagles displayed.
