Little Tew, Oxfordshire: Probate of J. Marshall

Probate by the Official Principal of the archdeacon of Oxford of the will, dated 1 April 1745, of John Marshall of Little Tew, gentleman, bequeathing to
(1) William Huckell, his kinsman, and Stephen South, all his yard land of arable meadow and pasture in the open and common fields of Little Tew during the life of his brother Stephen Marshall, in trust, to pay £40 yearly to his nephew Ralph Marshall, son of the said Stephen, and the residue to the said Stephen during his life, and upon his death the premises are devised to the said Ralph.
(2) Stephen Marshall, his brother £200.
(3) William Huckell and Stephen South £200 in trust, to be invested for the use of the said Stephen Marshall, with remainder to Ann and Mary Marshall, daughters of the said Stephen.
(4) Stephen Marshall, his nephew, son of the said Stephen Marshall, 2s a week to be paid by William Huckell out of his goods and chattels left to the said William.
(5) Mary Huckell, his kinswoman, and Sarah Huckell, £20 apiece.
(6) Thomas Huckell, his kinsman, £20.
(7) Edward Tanner £5.
(8) Stephen South £50.
William Huckell and Stephen South appointed executors. To set up gravestones to him and his brother Ralph Marshall deceased.
