Content description

15th or 15th century copies of three deeds:
(1) Grant by Stephen att Forstall of Faversham to Thomas Elyott, son of John Elyott, of 3 acres and a rood of land lying together in the field of Langere in Faversham (boundaries described) and common of pasture for ten sheep in Forstall marsh; also a messuage with a court yard, orchard and garden at Forstall in the parish of Ore [Oare] (boundaries described). Forstall 12 March 1381.
(2) Grant by William Gaite of Ospringe to Richard Elyott of Uplese in the parish of Faversham of all that purparty and pasture late of Thomas and William Forstall for twenty six sheep in the marsh of the abbot of Faversham called Forstall marsh; also 5 ½ acres lying severally in the field of Langere in Faversham (described), formerly of William and Thomas Houghlett, which the said William Gayte exchanged with John, son of Thomas Houghlett, for 5 ½ acres in Ore and Loddenham [Luddenham]. Upleese 8 July 1429.
(3) Grant by John Cherche of Lodenham to John Knight, of Davington, John Wood, of Osprige, and David Wilkyn, of Mydleton, of half a tenement in Loddenham and 2 acres, which the grantor, together with Richard Elyott, now deceased, lately had from Peter Baron of Loddenham. This grant is in accordance with the last will of the said Richard. Lodenham 9 February 1447.
