Grant in perpetuity by Thomas Stoukes, of Chatesham, to Robert Bune, John Cratone, John Talbotte, John Heyward son of Thomas Heywarde junior, of Chatesham, John Belcham and Robert Belcham, of the same, of a messuage with a garden adjacent in the vill of Chatesham [Chattisham] called Assch Hows lying between the tenement of Robert Godelesford called Clerkes on one side and the King's way leading from Ipswich to Haddeley [Hadleigh] on the other, one end abutting on the garden of Robert Chapmane the other on the way leading from Chatteshamhalle [Chattisham Hall] to Belstedehalle [Belstead Hall]. Witnesses: Robert Godelesford, John Beneyt, Thomas Heywarde, John Berstone, Robert Chapmane.
Seal, round, 17 mm, natural colour wax, on doubled tag. A design.
Endorsement: "We have loste the wille of Thomas Stoukes who ded infefe these men herein names: but to what purpose he did it ye shall fynd in the lords court rowle kepte the Mondaye beying the syxe and twentye daye of Septembre in the sext yere of our suffraine ladye Elyzabethe. by me Anthony Thompson".
