Cottisford, Oxfordshire: Quitclaim of virgate

Quitclaim by Walter de Cotes at Codesford, a manor of the abbey of Bec, in the presence of witnesses named, to the abbot and monks of all exactions and suits which he had moved against Henry, the abbot, and brother Michael de Tornebu, proctor general of the abbey in England, concerning a virgate, less one acre, in Cotes [Cottisford], a water course, the obstruction of a spring, a common of pasture and other matters pertaining to the manor of Coddesford, both in the King's court and in the court of the county of Oxford. For this quitclaim the proctor has paid him 100s sterling.
