Grant in frankalmoign by William de Cotes to the blessed Mary of Bec and the monks there of 9 acres in Cotes [Cottisford] in the strip called Sprotforlong and 12 acres which extend towards the royal way leading from Oxford to Brakkele [Brackley] in one field, and in another field 13 acres of which 5 lie by Cotesthorn, 6 in the strip called Eylesbrech and 2½ extend across the way leading from Cotesford to Brackele.
