Cottisford, Oxfordshire: Quitclaim of land

Quitclaim by Randulf le Chaundeler of Bralkel [Brackley] and Agnes his wife to the abbot of Bec Herlewyn [Bec Hellouin] and the convent there, for 50s sterling, of all his right in a third part of the land and tenement sometime of Roger de Cotes [in Cottisford], which third part they claimed in the King's court as dower. They shall be liable to a penalty of 20s to the use of the King's marshals if singly or conjointly they ever bring suit in the King's court contrary to this quitclaim.
