Copy of draft of a petition to Parliament of the Provost and College, lords of the manor and owners of houses and lands in the manor and parish of Weedonbeck [Weedon Bec], co. Northampton, and owners of lands in the parish of St John Hampstead, co. Middlesex, on the line of the proposed Rail Road from London to Birmingham, praying that a more eligible direction may be found for the line. The petitioners' estate in Weedonbeck have been materially injured by a former Act of Parliament for cutting the Grand Junction Canal which passes directly through Weedonbeck.
