Everdon, Northamptonshire: Indenture of lease of woods

Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College, to Lawrence Eyton, of Brockhall, co. Northants, gentleman, upon surrender of a lease of the woods and underwoods to Blase Saunders, merchant of the Staple of England and grocer of London, whose interest has been assigned to the said Lawrence, of all the said woods and underwoods know by the name of Wedon Wood in the parish of Wedon [Weedon Bec], and the wood called Everdon Wood or Stubbes within the parish of Everdon, enclosed in one little close next adjoining the west part of Wedon Wood containing one acre of wood and underwood; except 12 of the fairest trees at the choice of the lessors upon every acre of the woods aforesaid. To hold from Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent £8 6s 8d.
