Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College to William Watson, of Ixworth, gentleman, of the manor of Blakenham on the water with all lands pertaining in Blakenham, Baylam [Baylham] and Claydon and elsewhere, co. Suffolk, for the lives of Edward Veare and John Veare, sons of Henry Veare of Blakenham, and John Veare, son of John Veare of Henley, co. Suffolk. Rent £13 16s 8d, and 2 quarters of wheat and 24 quarters of malt or their money equivalent, and one boar at Christmas or 20s to buy the same. Witnesses: William Webbe, Rauff Scryvner, John Dowffylde, Thomas Dell.

Seal, round, 16mm, red wax, on doubled tag. Armorial: barry of six, three crescent two and one, in chief two spears in saltire. The shield surmounted by a demi-dragon rampant, and surrounded by ornament.
